Sharyland Pioneer Diamondbacks visits the Mcallen Memorial Mustangs in a Thursday Night Football match up to kick off the season.

Both teams looking to start off the season with a bang, as well as building to make a run at the district title & playoffs berth. The games kicks off at 7:00pm at Fred Pharmacy Field 8/25 in Mcallen.

Aaron Nixon verbally commits to University of Texas

Congrats to Mcallen's Aaron Nixon on verbally committing to the University of Texas Baseball team.

RGV Football Combine MVP's

Congratulations to the selected MVP's of the RGV Elite Football Combine.

The DQ Game Of The Week

The 2016 DQ Big Game of the Week schedule is out!

Harlingen vs. Harlingen South will get the honor in Week 5 for the RGV.

RGV Football Combine

This Saturday July 23rd, the big event is going down in Pharr, Tx. as the RGV Elite Football Combine will be taking place. Athletes from around the Rio Grande Valley will participate in testing, position drills and 1on1 competitions.

Brandon "Bubba" Evans OL/DL Camp

Former NFL Player Brandon "Bubba" Evans held a O-line/D-line Camp today in Pharr, Tx.

Kids from the RGV & Corpus Christi participated in several techniques and drills in preparation for their upcoming seasons.

STX Bonecrushers win the Championship

Congratulations to the South Texas Bonecrushers on winning the 2016 CRAFL Championship this past weekend in a exciting grudge match game, finishing the season undefeated at 13-0.

It was an honor being a part of ride as the team media/filming crew! ‪#‎BCnation‬

RGV Football Camp

The South Texas Showcase held their RGV Football Camp at Weslaco's Bobby Lackey Stadium for both Youth (8th grade & below) and High School athletes. A great turn out for both parts of the game, as the RGV showcased their skills in several football drills and 1-on-1 position battles.

STX Showcase

Great turn out at the South Texas Showcase today in Corpus Christi, Tx.

Several football underclassmen attended to showcase their skills and abilities in front of college coaches in attendance. The showcase all featured timed testing & position drills of their respective positions.

We will have photos & video highlights from the event upload onto youtube and social media sites.

Sabercats headed to the Final 4

Edinburg Vela advance to the State Semifinals after defeating Laredo Nixon 58-48 in the Region IV Championship at the Blossom Athletic Center in San Antonio, Tx.

The night before, Vela was in an intense showdown with Alamo Heights who both battled into over. Tied at 60-60, the Sabercats were able to take control and build an 8pt. lead to seal the 68-60 win.

Laredo Nixon had tough win over Austin LBJ 70-69 to earned their bid into the regional final showdown.

Warriors fall in the Regional Finals

Santa Rosa falls in the 3A Regional Finals to Aransas Pass 68-67.

The Warriors fought back from a 20pt. deficit to retake the lead after scoring 23pts. in the 3rd qtr. behind Leo Lara's strong shooting night. The Panthers were able to take the lead in the final seconds of the game to take the 1pt. victory.

Santa Rosa finished with a stellar 29-9 overall record.

Taylor Clough commits to TLU

Congrats to Taylor Clough out of Edinburg Vela on committing to Texas Lutheran University.

RGV Football Combine

There was a great turn out today at The RGV Elite Football Combine in Mcallen, Tx. Football athletes from all over the RGV participated in laser testing & field drills.

The Cavazos Sports Institute hosted the testing portion, then headed over to the Mcallen Sports Park for the drills portion.
