Sabercats headed to the Final 4

Edinburg Vela advance to the State Semifinals after defeating Laredo Nixon 58-48 in the Region IV Championship at the Blossom Athletic Center in San Antonio, Tx.

The night before, Vela was in an intense showdown with Alamo Heights who both battled into over. Tied at 60-60, the Sabercats were able to take control and build an 8pt. lead to seal the 68-60 win.

Laredo Nixon had tough win over Austin LBJ 70-69 to earned their bid into the regional final showdown.

Warriors fall in the Regional Finals

Santa Rosa falls in the 3A Regional Finals to Aransas Pass 68-67.

The Warriors fought back from a 20pt. deficit to retake the lead after scoring 23pts. in the 3rd qtr. behind Leo Lara's strong shooting night. The Panthers were able to take the lead in the final seconds of the game to take the 1pt. victory.

Santa Rosa finished with a stellar 29-9 overall record.
