FBU Team RGV is building their team up for the upcoming national tournament as they held a try out session today at Mcallen High School.

It was also announced tonight that Team RGV will face Minnesota in the 1st round in Kansas in December.

Lobos hold off the Bobcats

Edinburg High hosted the Brownsville Lopez Lobos in a Thursday night match up. The first half was a back and forth battle as both teams traded scores especially in the 1st quarter. The Lobos found the endzone first but was quickly tied by the Bobcats at 7-7. The Bobcats recovered a bad snap and returned the fumble for a safety after the Lobos had scored, new score Hanna leading 13-9 at halftime.

Hanna offense was fierce in the second half as Jose Echavarria was dazzling in the wildcat formation & the Ivan Olivio 52 yard TD run sealed the game for the Lobos as they took a 20-15 lead to get their first win of the season. Edinburg High falls to 0-2 and look to get their first win against the Palmview Lobos in week 3 action.
