Lobos hold off the Bobcats

Edinburg High hosted the Brownsville Lopez Lobos in a Thursday night match up. The first half was a back and forth battle as both teams traded scores especially in the 1st quarter. The Lobos found the endzone first but was quickly tied by the Bobcats at 7-7. The Bobcats recovered a bad snap and returned the fumble for a safety after the Lobos had scored, new score Hanna leading 13-9 at halftime.

Hanna offense was fierce in the second half as Jose Echavarria was dazzling in the wildcat formation & the Ivan Olivio 52 yard TD run sealed the game for the Lobos as they took a 20-15 lead to get their first win of the season. Edinburg High falls to 0-2 and look to get their first win against the Palmview Lobos in week 3 action.
